Local author, Cara Jan Hamill, releases first of a series. Angels for Animals is about people, their pets and the angels who watch over them. Available on Amazon, Booklocker and author website - www.carajan.com.

Cara, a former Mrs. New Orleans titleholder, got her inspiration for the fiction novel from her concern for the strays, abandoned, feral, and the abused. Cara and husband, David, share their house with a variety of rescue cats.

Texas native, and former private investigator, she has a personal letter from former President, Ronald Reagan, congratulating her on the Mrs. New Orleans win. In the letter, he noted the accomplishment in spite of her severe hearing loss. He had just started wearing hearing aids himself when he penned the personal letter.

Do you feel you have a guardian angel watching over you? Wouldn't it be a comfort to know your pets have one as well? This is the question the author poses to her readers.

She says it is an inspirational, 'feel-good' book that will make you want to go hug your pets, and give them extra treats.
